Plans are afoot for a comic book serial, my first foray into a fascinating medium. I have been quite taken with the comic book form over the past few years, and due to a complicated sequence of events, I ended up writing a bunch of comic book scripts that I shelved for a while, but recently revived, resuscitated, rehabilitated, renewed… you get me. I want to hire an artist and turn these scripts into an actual piece of art. That will require a Kickstarter, or something similar, not my forte, but I’ll give it a shot.

For now, I’m gathering email addresses for my mailing list: please sign up at Substack. I will document the process there, which you may find interesting. I’m thinking I’ll post art along the way, among other things… try to make the process as interesting as the product itself. Ultimately, if I gather enough subscribers, I’ll launch a Kickstarter to pay for it all (comic book art is expensive—it takes up to a full workday to draw a page, from what I understand).

The series is Horror Rom-Com in an Underground Comix style universe. R. Crumb kind of thing. Fanny and Fap are a bickering mouse couple with a penchant for stumbling into escalating metaphysical contretemps. Oh, the hijinks! I can tell you, I LOVE the scripts, and I can’t wait to get them drawn. Just a matter of figuring out the financing and the logistics. Eventually, when I’m at a more advanced stage, I’ll turn this page into a proper landing page. For now, just go subscribe, won’t you? That’s where I’ll be making announcements and eventually launching the Kickstarter.
